DIRECT DEPOSIT QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

WHAT IS DIRECT DEPOSIT?

Your pay transfers from the company bank account to your bank account on payday. Your bank decides the actual deposit time.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Any employee of WKUS, but your bank must be a NACHA member. Check with your bank.

WHEN DOES IT START?

Direct deposit is in effect immediately. Our online system can only validate your bank’s transit routing numbers, it cannot validate your account number. Your bank must do the account validation. Occasionally a direct deposit is returned due to an invalid account number. When this happens, we will either e-mail or call you, and send you a live check.

IS THE DEPOSIT EVER LATE?

Sometimes things go wrong--computers crash, satellites spin out of control. Your money will usually be in your account by midnight of the payday, but this is NOT guaranteed. Transmission problems can cause deposit delays of as much as 24 hours. Please do not write checks against your account until you have confirmed deposit with your bank. We are NOT responsible for any late fees you may incur before the deposit is made.

WHAT HAPPENS ON HOLIDAYS?

Company offices are closed for selected holidays. If an office closure occurs on a scheduled payday, every effort will be made to make sure that your funds are deposited by the last working day before the holiday. Bank scheduling conflicts may not always permit us to early deposit your funds, but the funds should be deposited by the scheduled payday.
